About Former MLA Association
Former MLA Association is a non-partisan organization based in Winnipeg, MB, comprised of approximately 135 former Members of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly. The association is dedicated to supporting and representing former members, including those who are no longer residents of Manitoba and some who have gone on to serve in the House of Commons and the Senate. We provide a platform for networking, advocacy, professional development, and services to former MLAs. The association is actively engaged in promoting parliamentary democracy through various functions and meetings, such as discussion group meetings, sponsoring sessions at the annual Youth Parliament of Manitoba, and hosting receptions. The Former MLA Association values promoting parliamentary democracy and non-partisanship.
